Another new build coming to a close that has really been exciting! (And tedious)

This shell is 14 x 5.5 cherry and hard country maple with maple spacers. The fun part about this build came in doing the math for the diamonds. Each diamond is a total of 8 triangles with maple making up the diamonds. There are 11 diamond staves so a total of 88 triangles make up these pieces.

The process is all step by step first gluing two triangles at a time for each corner. Then each set of two becomes 4 to form the top and bottom halves and finally more glue brings together the full diamond.

Once the staves are complete the shell fabrication follows all the same steps with the addition of the maple spacers. Outer milling then inner milling.

This shell is available for sale with a high gloss finish!
